Tire Discounters

Website

Tire Discounters Family-owned & operated since 1976! With over 200 stores, we serve the tire and automotive service needs of OH, KY, IN, TN, GA, NC, AL, and VA. People loved it.

The minute Chip Wood opened the doors to the first Tire Discounters, he began raising the bar for the tire business. He brought a sorely needed a higher standard of integrity to the business. 40 years ago, virtually all tire dealers lured people in with a low tire price and then charged extra for essential services like mounting and balancing. Not a very honest approach, is it? So Chip decided to follow his instinct and focus on transparency in pricing in tandem with a higher standard of service. And that’s the simple reason why we do what we do. Our founder’s higher standards still inform every single service and sale. Thanks, Chip. (And we’d say that even if you weren’t the boss.)

We recently had the opportunity to attend Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels Ride & Drive event at the legendary Radford Racing School, where we got behind the wheel, learned from professional instructors, and tested several Mickey Thompson tire models firsthand.

From experiencing the all-new Street Comp GHT on modern American muscle cars to tackling the off-road course with the Baja Boss M/T and Baja Legend EXP, the event gave us a deeper understanding of how these tires perform in the environments they were built for.

At Tire Discounters, we're committed to learning about the products we sell so we can better educate and serve our customers.

🎥 Watch our full vlog on YouTube for the complete experience, product insights, and key takeaways.
