Shutting down hot is a death sentence for your turbo.
Your turbocharger is spinning at tens of thousands of RPMs and is incredibly hot. When you kill the engine immediately, the oil pump stops flowing oil to the turbo bearings. The oil left inside instantly cooks and turns into hard carbon (coking), and those bearings grind to a halt dry.
Let your engine idle for 3 to 5 minutes before shutting down. Let the oil cool the turbo down.
Small habit, big difference.
