#1932 getting ready for sale…
1932 was ordered from the factory with a unique specification of Marine Blau (Blue) Metallic over Linen interior with marine blue door caps, dashboard, rear deck, and steering wheel. Optional factory Sport seats (option code 383/387) are original to the car. The car comes with newer linen floor mats front and rear as well as a matching linen mat to cover the rear seats when in the down position.
Given the factory order, #1932 does not have typical US options like central door lock system or cruise control (much like the in-period 911 Club Sport coupés of the period).
#1932 was ordered Tourist Delivery (option code M528). Sometimes referred to as European delivery, this involved the buyers (often from the U.S. or other export markets) to pick up their new Porsche at the factory in Germany, drive it in Europe for a limited time, and then have it shipped home.
Because #1932 was destined for the US market when ordered, it came from the factory with US specification (M700 – Emissions Equipment including Catalytic Converter).
#1392 has been well maintained with recent period possible upgrades and major top-end rebuild.
Currently it is setup with european ride height that included new adjustable rear spring plates and bushing as well an Elephant Racing bump steer kit.
The car comes with its original date code correct Fuchs 6x16” front and 7x16” wheels (option code M395). The original complete factory tool kit and air compressor are under the front hood along with a period front strut bar.
Period possible upgrades include;
- Rare OE Cub Sport leather steering wheel (option Cade M637) which is 380mm diameter including a narrower horn button.
- The original stock steering wheel comes with the car. Both steering wheels are covered in blue leather.
- Porsche OEM extended hub placing the steering wheel 30mm closer to the driver (option code M018).
- New OE Sport engine mounts (part of the M637 – Club Sport Package) installed 2024.
- New Bilstein Sport struts and rear dampers (M474 – Sport Shock Absorbers) installed 2024.
- 930 drilled rotor front and rear paired with the original brake calipers.
#1932 has a Steve Wong performance chip installed along with an ultra lightweight (8lbs) Bisimoto Pulse Chamber exhaust that includes the removable “arrestor” that drops ~18 dB of noise. These two upgrades bump power to 235 hp and ~210 lb-ft of torque, in line with the Club Sport models of the time.
Extensive maintenance history including;
- Top end rebuild completed by Porsche specialists Guido’s Automotive including heads and valves done by German Prevision (R-Gruppe recommended Porsche machining service) at 101,986 miles in 2022
- New adjustable rear spring plates and bushing installed in 2022. The original factory spring plates come with the car.
- Elephant Racing bump steer kit installed 2025.
A leather bound binder of the car’s history, factory documentation and extensive receipts comes with the car dating back to 2004 as well as maintenance stamps in the owners manual including record of the factory test drive 4 days before delivery in 1987. Factory brochures, 911 Club Sport addendum, owners manual, and even the original tourist delivery brochure and German ‘Ausfuhrkennzeichen’ export license plate.
#1932 is in original condition with the expected patina from a car that was cared for and driven since new.
The engine starts on the first turn and oil pressure when up to temperature and at idle reflects the recent engine work condition.
