🔧 We’re shifting gears.
This page was once Blue Sky Bakery — now, it's home to Mechanista.

We’re building something new: a woman-powered garage and training space that gives tools, skills, and community to thrive in a field that wasn’t built for us.

The signs are changing, the tools are out, and we’re just getting started. Thanks for being here while we get our hands dirty. More updates, stories, and ways to get involved coming soon.

Final thoughts + recipes:

Yes, someone painted a picture of our blueberry muffins. As if I didn't feel special enough. (Abigail, you are a queen.) To read all of your kind messages, to receive your thoughtful gifts, to hear your tender 'goodbyes', to see how many people showed up to our closing party and how generously you donated to ...truly feels like an ending I never could have imagined. Will be in shock and awe for a very long time.

Mocha banana muffin and mixed berry scone recipes posted here. No this not the same base as the cheddar chive. Yes I demand that you purchase a scale for baking. They are like ten dollars and you are totally worth it.

Moving forward, this will be a more personal account with about 40% baking, 40% Chicago nonprofit magic, 15% Chicago music & culture, 4% cat photos and 1% Below Deck hot takes.

Thank you ALL for proving the worth of this concept and making me cry more in the last month than Tash did in the whole last season of Below Deck Med. Xoxoxoxo
