So I would like to build an extended range fretted or fretless bass. The bump out on the back comes from a contra bass that Lignum made for Nate Navarro. I believe the E0 string on that bass has a 42 inch scale length. I don't think I would need the bump out on a fretless bass. What do yall think about the shape? I'm trying to come up with something that isn't so traditional yet still functional and ergonomic.

A few years ago, my daughters bought me this rod and reel. It is different to say the least. I am going to play with it out in the Gulf at some point. I don't plan on loading it up with very heavy line as the arms of the wind mill reel are plastic. I don't think it would take much to break it......could be wrong. Comment if you know anything about these reels and if you are good at using them/ casting them......

This was taken a couple years ago heading out to a nearshore reef. The sea fog was starting to clear off and we seen this. It is a fog bow.

Ran a nearshore 4 hour charter yesterday for the first time since I was in the hospital. Got a few snappers in the cooler before the black nose sharks got fired up. Everyone got to reel up at least one. It was an awesome morning. Thanks for fishing with us you all!! #

Just figured I would share with you guys something a customer/ friend reeled up off of power pole reef in the Gulf. We took a rusty hook out of it as a bonus and he and I took measurements of the beast for a replica mount. I don't remember the exact length but it was over 7 ft long. Crazy catch for him this trip and his son got help with fighting it. Great job!!

Had an absolute blast with this crew on the evening trip Thursday night. They got some snappers for tacos and after fighting this hammer with a tarpon rod and wearing themselves out. I put the Golaith Grouper rod to work and they got this big guy up for a photo opportunity. Great job fellers and fellerettes!! #
