We worked on the interior of the door on a 1963 Chevy Corvair yesterday. The owner wanted to preserve the natural patina the best he could. This is such a cool car. I believe it was the only vehicle that Chevrolet put a flat 6 in and in the rear of the car.

Customer sideswiped their Tundra coming out of their garage. There was some paint damage, but customer didn’t want to repaint. We applied touchup paint and cut and buffed some light scratches out. Repair came out great. Typical repair costs for this is $600-$800. This was done at the customers house in 4.5 hours.

I’m doing a little reflecting on vehicles I’ve owned over the years. Current daily is 2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71. Then its 2002 Silverado, 2005 Sierra Denali, 2007 Silverado, 2019 Tundra, 1999 Chevy K1500, and 2011 Silverado. I’ve always been a GM guy, but had a minor stint with Toyota. I’ve always enjoyed spending the time, keeping them clean and doing the necessary maintenance myself. Which is probably why I gravitated towards PDR. Now that I learned the craft, I don’t have to live with the door dings that come along. You don’t need to either.

I treat each customer’s vehicle like it’s my own. I take pride in what I do and always strive to do the best work.

All of these vehicles have their own stories of how I got them and the time I spent enjoying them. Which one is your favorite?

Normally a small dent like this is a fairly quick repair. This small dent had blocked access from the window opening. We had to remove the interior door panel and v***r barrier to get access to the back of the panel. These are factors that go into our pricing for repairs, as it adds time to the repair process.

We had the pleasure of working on this 2002 Acura RSX Type S this morning. This customer bought this car brand new off the showroom floor. He came out from the grocery store and saw that someone hit him. He gave us a shot at saving the factory panel and paint. The customer was thrilled with the results.
