Job description:
Looking for EXPERT-LEVEL diesel truck mechanics in or near Carlinville, Illinois.
As a growing company, our fleet shop is very busy! So we only need mechanics that are motivated to work hard and grow with us.
Pay based on experience.
You will have the opportunity to grow in the company,
Tractor/trailer repair experience is required.
Must have your own tools.
Certification from a diesel mechanics school or program is preferred but not necessary.
Welding experience preferred.
Company trucks include Freightliners, Internationals, Volvos, and Peterbilts.
Must have knowledge of automatic and manual transmissions.
Some of the engines we work on include Detroit DD15, Cummins ISX, International N13 12.4L, Volvo D13, and Paccar.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
-Inspecting and diagnosing problems with trucks and trailers
-Repairing and rebuilding motors, transmissions, braking systems, differentials, axles, fuel pumps, alternators, hydraulic systems, and other truck components.
-Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical issues.
-Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and/or rebuilding anything that can go wrong with a truck
