Yesterday we were out there doing what we do. Our customer needed some brake work done but because He is busy during the week, We came and helped him out on Saturday. We got him back up and ready to go with a new set of heavy duty brake shoes and drums. Don't spend all week driving and all weekend working on your truck. We did a little marketing today. We visited a few local businesses that have trucks and equipment, met some great people, and told them about the services we offer. I also picked up our new business cards. What do y'all think about them?

Update on truck 02:

Yesterday I hauled a load with truck 02. It handled it nicely. I am very pleased with the trucks performance. I hauled a 88,000lbs gross load of petroleum coke from Tuscaloosa AL to Montevallo AL. I purposely pulled hills in high gear to add extra stress the truck but she just grunted and pulled like a mule. Happy to have it back on the road

Got the injectors in and torqued down and also the cam is back in and the caps on and torqued. Timing has been restored. Hopefully we will see some smoke sometime this weekend! This is the first time I have had a head off an overhead cam engine so I am taking my time. Doesn't seem like too much to it, we will see when I turn the key!

Got the head on and torqued down on truck 02. Man, what a job! 210ftlbs 38 times will wear you out! Then do it one more time to make sure they are all still tight. Next step is to install the injectors. Next one of these I do I am gonna buy a longer torque wrench!

Truck 02 is coming back together. The new head is prepped and in position to set on the block. Gonna wait until tomorrow to bolt it up. There are 38 bolts to torque.

Saturday project

Friday morning I noticed a spring hanger was broken on our log trailer. I took the trailer out of service and put it in the shop. Lots of hours of cutting, cussing, beating, banging.and welding We replaced the spring hanger,equalizer, and a broken leaf spring. Thanks to the guys at Fleetpride in Birmingham for being open on Saturday morning to supply the parts. The trailer is ready to go back to work on Monday.
