It is with an extremely heavy heart, I am announcing that the 8th Annual Don Shipley Memorial has been postponed until further notice. I want to apologize to the racers and volunteers that have supported this event since day 1. At this moment in my life, I have family priorities that are at the top of the list. It wouldn't be fair to all of the supporters to not put in the time and effort this event deserves and make it subpar. Bob Christie and I agree this race has set a standard and we would not want that to fall. Thank you all for your understanding. I'm sorry this post has taken so long to get posted, but I've been waiting on some late promised donations to get our final total. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of you that support the Don Shipley Memorial Go Kart race fundraiser for the National MS Society. Once again, expectations have been blown out of the water. Current times are extremely tough for all of us, but we still managed to raise an incredible $11,794!!!! I want to also send a sincere thank you to all of the volunteers for helping make this event what it is. Not 1 person makes money at this event except MS. Thank you all so much!

Here is an awesome announcement for this years event! The "Ho**ers" will be in the house on crash and hay bail duty! Cowboy Josh and Ho**er Bob along with The Hook will be helping us racers out when things just don't go our way! Thank you guys so much for your time and hard work!these are the same guys you saw at the Bristol Dirt Nationals. They ARE the best crew in dirt track racing!

Ok racers PLEASE READ THIS!!!!! *******

As every racer knows, every race there is a scoring "discrepancy." Whether the racer is right or the scorer is right, a lot of this issue can be solved by having legible numbers. This has been an issue every year with scorers having a hard time reading your numbers. This post is not to pick on anyone by any means but to show examples of how hard some of these numbers are to read. Now just imagine, this cars hauling the mail at night passing or being passed. Please please help our scorers out and put BIG contrasting colors for numbers so our scorers can read them! If you can't read your numbers, please don't complain if you aren't scored correctly. Here are some great race supporting graphics shops locally that can help you out!

Here is an awesome award for the Racers!!! Kitto of AK47 Racing is a gas hauler by trade. He has just donated a $50 QT gas card for the "Gasser Up" award for the Hard Charger of the Stock and Open Main Events!
