Working on completing the repair of a DR ALL-TERRAIN MOWER. When it arrived at the garage it didn’t start, that issue was addressed. It also didn’t move when the clutch was engaged, that issue has also been addressed.

After completing the normal maintenance we noticed the engine was surging. This led to removing the carburetor to find the bowl and internal parts of the carburetor coated with layer of varnish from old fuel. We removed, cleaned, rebuilt, and reinstalled the carburetor. Before reinstalling it, we also replaced the intake manifold gaskets as well. It now runs like it should.

Today we completed the repair on an Ariens zero turn mower. It had two issues, one was a hydraulic leak on the left hydrostatic drive unit and the second was an engine oil leak at the factory installed oil drain valve.

We removed and replaced the defective oil seal on the drive unit. Then removed it to top off the fluid. Unfortunately on this mower there was no way to access the fill plug without completely removing the unit from the mower.

To resolve the engine oil leak we extracted the oil, remove the drain valve, cleaned the threads, applied thread sealant,reinstalled the drain, and refilled it with oil.

Upon completing a test run we noticed the tracking was off. Adjustments were made to correct it. The mower is now ready for the customer.

Currently repairing an Exmark 30” commercial walk behind mower. The primary blade drive belt idler pulley decided it was time to leave the conversation. The bearings seized and took the belt with it. Going back together now and we’ll have it ready for our commercial customer early next week.

If you own a portable generator to provide power to your home during a power outage we highly recommend you start and run it at least once every three months if not monthly. Do not wait until you and your family need it to find out it doesn’t work. If you do have a generator that you are experiencing issues with we are here to help. It was a Cub Cadet kind of day at Wally’s Garage. Servicing one and getting the second one ready to put on Marketplace for sale.
Ran into a little bit of a challenge with the threads on one of the front tires. The threads that the grease fitting threads into pulled out. Without a shallow tap we improvised and welded a 1/4” nut in place to thread the fitting into.

While servicing a riding mower for a customer, upon inspecting the blades we discovered a little excessive wear. Needless to say, as part of the service we replaced the blades with a heavy duty pair of mulching blades from Rotary Corporation.

To maintain your mower battery, or any other battery, we recommend installing a Battery Tender battery charger/maintainer. These units are simple to use. Simply plug it in and it will do the rest. We are an authorized dealer and we will gladly install one for you.
