This last weekend at the CKNA Grands wraps up our racing season. It's hard to be excited about the results after the big win last year; however, in reality we had a very strong showing in both classes. We showed that we had one of the quickest kart packages throughout the weekend but fell a bit short in the end. We ended up with a podium in Light (P5), and after driving up to P2 from P18 in the Medium final, Cale got run off the track a couple times and fell back to P16 and eventually crossing the line in P11. It is what it is... THE GRANDS!
Reflecting back on our 2026 racing season we have lot to be proud of. We had never had a national podium in the Senior division before the big win last year. This year we had 4 national podiums including a Senior medium win at Spring Nationals in Charlotte. Cale has shown that he can consistently run up front with the VLR Karts with the very best!
In addition, Cale was able win the Route 66 Sprint Series points championship in 206 Senior against a very competitive field. We're still working on establishing consistency in the KA100 class as there's a pretty steep learning curve to run with that group.
We could not have had this success without the help of RLV Tuned Exhaust, Shaw Stickers, Lawson Speed Shop, Miranda Lynn Cromp, Ross Zimmermann (Dad/Grandpa). Reserve Motorsports, and Colin Warren.
It's time to relax a bit, catch up on house projects, and think about how to find more speed for next year. We appreciated the support we received from everyone throughout the year.
