50-year-old car, same owner for the last 20 years.

He came in thinking about a repaint, but wanted to see what a paint correction and coating could do first. Fair question, so before we touched anything we put a paint gauge on it and did a few test spots, then walked him through what we were seeing.

Fifty years of paint. Thin in places. It’s never going to look brand new, and he was fine with that. The car goes to shows and what he really wanted back was the gloss.

That’s the order it should go in with older paint. Measure it, talk honestly about what’s realistic, then decide what’s actually worth doing.

He drove 45 minutes to get here.

Googled ceramic coating, found us, read the reviews, made the trip. Said what kept him here was the communication and the fact that nobody pushed him. And the coffee.

He drove his last car 15 years, until it died. He’s planning on the same with this one.

That’s the real case for coating in Minnesota. Salt every winter, and paint that has to hold up for a decade or more.

Nobody buys a GranTurismo to baby it.

Full Front PPF takes the impact. Hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors. Ceramic handles the rest on the chemical side. UV, road film, washes that don’t fight back & glossy you can’t unlock otherwise.

This M3 was coated 30 days ago. Why is it back?

Every car we coat comes back at 30 days. We wash it ourselves and watch how the water behaves — off the paint, off the glass, off the wheels.

Even beading and sheeting means the coating went down right. Anywhere it doesn’t, that spot gets touched up.

You shouldn’t have to inspect your own coating. That’s our job.

How does paint end up looking like this?

Ceramic coating installed wrong at another shop. That buildup on the pad is the coating coming off.

Wrong environment. Never leveled. Installer didn’t know the product.

Two full days to fix it.

Before you book a coating anywhere: climate-controlled shop, installer certified in the product, aftercare after install.

A coating is only as good as who installs it.
