FROM THE HUB.

Final Output: 503.5 WHP / 423.2 lb-ft

This heads and cam package picked up 93 wheel horsepower over stock on our Mainline ProHub Dyno while maintaining the drivability expected from a street-driven C8.

After putting some miles on the car, we’re happy to report that this package drives every bit as good as it performs on the dyno.

Big thanks to the manufacturers that put the R&D into these products: Performance & Design Carbon R Intake Manifold, Halltech Hornet Cold Air Intake, Lingenfelter 95mm Throttle Body, Katech ported LT2 cylinder heads and Torquer camshaft, BTR trunnion upgrade, hardened pushrods and DOD delete components, Kooks Headers, and Jet-Hot Coatings.

The drivetrain is back under the car and we’re one step closer to hearing it come to life.

The final pieces are starting to come together.

Intake, exhaust, and supporting components being installed before the drivetrain goes back into the car.

Aftermarket headers definitely help gain power but can also add extra heat to your engine bay because they do not have the heat shields and insulation that the factory manifolds have. This is critical in rear engine vehicle that has less airflow. We opted to have our Kooks headers coated with Ceramic Coating Heat Barrier by Jet Hot prior to installation to help keep the engine bays temps down.

Progress continues.

Measuring for proper push rod length and correct pre load on the high pressure fuel pump are absolutely necessary steps when installing cylinder heads that have been milled and a camshaft that has a different lobe profile for the high pressure fuel pump. With these measurements carefully and properly performed we then move onto final assembly.

Tear down in progress.

Disassembling the LT2 engine and cleaning all parts to prepare for installation of the heads and cam package.

Step one: Remove the powertrain.

One of the unique things about working on a C8 is that the engine and transmission come out from underneath the car as a complete assembly. They are assembled like this in the factory so removing the powertrain as a unit is a clean efficient way when making performance upgrades to the engine. We strive to perform clean professional work and go the extra step to apply protectant wrap to all body panels we work near to prevent any scratches.

We are excited to get the next phase of upgrades installed on our C8 Stingray. The KTR C8 serves as a test platform for many of the packages we offer. Before recommending a combination to our customers, we want firsthand experience with how it installs, drives, and performs in the real world.

This phase of work includes a Heads, Cam, & Headers package on the LT2 engine. This includes Katech ported and milled LT2 cylinder heads, a Katech LT2 Torquer camshaft, BTR 660 valve springs, BTR trunnion upgrade, hardened pushrods, AFM Delete, Ceramic coated Kooks Headers and for a nice touch we are converting the exhaust over to a center exit setup.

Stay tuned.

The boxes are empty and the Colorado is back together.

This 2020 Colorado came to KTR looking for more power to match the rest of the build. With 35" tires, 4.56 gears, and extensive drivetrain upgrades already in place, it was time to give the engine some help.

We installed a Magnuson Supercharger system along with a MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust, resulting in an estimated increase from 245 WHP to 365 WHP.

One of our favorite things about the Magnuson package is the fit and finish. Pop the hood and it looks like it could have come from the factory that way.

This also marks the first Colorado supercharger installation completed at KTR.

A stack of boxes just showed up for a 2020 Colorado.

We'll give you a hint: this one is about to get a lot more interesting.

This 2020 F-150 EcoBoost came in for a complete upgrade package focused on performance, capability, and appearance.

A Full-Race Motorsports bolt-on package including an intercooler, blow off valve, downpipe, and turbo adapter upgrades was paired with custom calibration from MPT Performance, giving the owner access to multiple tune options based on fuel choice and desired power level.

To match the added performance, we installed a 3" BDS lift kit with FOX shocks and 35" Toyo tires. The truck was then paint corrected and ceramic coated by Faucher Detailing LLC to finish everything off.
