I asked a couple of months ago and Tyler Hoehe and her team from Ed’s Body Shop answered!
Tyler wanted to keep this project in the family and followed in the foot steps of her great grandfather, who painted the 200th Bicentennial Bridgeton Police Department patrol vehicle in 1976. 50 years later she completed this amazing project. I asked for a wrap but she wasn’t having it. Tyler told me if they painted it in 1976, she was painting this one in 2026. It should be noted that this vehicle was originally black and had to be painted and converted over to an all white patrol car to give the perfect visual effect! Tyler and her team worked tirelessly to make this perfect and took care of every detail. Thank you again Ed’s Body Shop for making this happen.
A huge thank you goes out as well to Paramount Design Works who donated the decals and install. We didn’t even have to ask. When we were discussing the need for red, white and blue letters and numbers they volunteered right away to join with Tyler to make this happen. Paramount also supplied us with special 250th decals that will be on every patrol vehicle in our fleet.
Thank you also goes out to Mrs Linda Rivera and her art students from Broad St School who took a blank image of our Ford Explorer and gave Tyler the concept for the finished paint scheme. You will see your work first hand next Wednesday at the Parade of Champions!
Be on the lookout for the vehicle around the area where we will celebrate our nation’s 250th Anniversary. For the first few months, this vehicle will be out at as many community events as we can get to. After that it will be put into patrol and utilized everyday.
