New post cast will drop tomorrow to kick off the weekend. in the mean time here an update from our team to yours!

The past few days, heck, weeks, have been nonstop. Filled with ups and downs (a few more downs than I wanted to deal with). But here I am... kiillin it! LOL
While all of this is going on, there’s still plenty of racing happening—and these days, does the karting season ever really end?
**“This is the race season that never endsssss… it goes on and on, my friends…”** 🎶🏁
Seriously, though, just as one season begins winding down, another one is already waiting to fire up.
**Road Racing still has some important stops remaining on the 2026 calendar.** Blackhawk Farms returns to action this weekend, followed by **Gingerman Raceway** in a few weeks, where the ** AKRA Karting National Road Racing Championship Series** will close out its season and several championship battles will be decided.
But Gingerman won’t be the end of the story. The ** Dart Kart Club Road Racing Series** and the **Ultimate Karting Challenge** still have Gingerman and the granddaddy of them all—**Daytona KartWeek**—remaining on their 2026 points schedules.
And then, before we know it, we’ll turn the page and start doing it all over again.
🏁 **DAYTONA GARAGE RESERVATIONS ARE DUE!** 🏁
It may only be August, but if you're planning to race **Daytona KartWeek in December, the time to start planning is NOW.**
Sponsor garage reservations were offered first, and the ** World Karting Association** has now begun releasing the remaining garages to **WKA members and racers**. There aren't many left, so if having garage space at Daytona is part of your plan, don't wait.
**Contact the WKA office directly for garage availability, pricing, and reservation details.**
Yes, Daytona is in December. And YES—it takes this long to plan! Equipment, transportation, entries, tires, accommodations, crew, garage space... Daytona doesn't just happen.
**So the real question is: ARE YOU GOING TO BE THERE?**
** Drive Your Line KartSport, LLC** has reserved **Garages 222H and 222D** for KartWeek and will also have **limited tent space available** for racers looking to join us.
⚠️ **Our DYL garage spaces are already spoken for**, but tent space is still available.
Contact **Drive Your Line KartSport** for tent-space pricing, availability, and details.
🏁 **DAYTONA KARTWEEK — start making the plan now.**
Because apparently, in karting, there really is **no off-season anymore!** 🏁
🏁 **OLD SCHOOL MEETS NEW SCHOOL IN BILOXI!** 🏁
**Little River Promotions** has teamed up with ** Coastal Karting, LLC.** to produce a first-of-its-kind karting event—bringing **Vintage Karting and today's modern CIK karting together at the same event!**
The **VKA Fall-Fling** has been in the planning stages for nearly **10 months**, and now it's GO TIME!
Pre-registration has been gaining momentum as racers from both sides of the sport finalize their plans. This is an opportunity to bring generations of karting together at one facility—celebrating the machines and racers that helped build the sport while showcasing the modern karts and competitors carrying it forward.
**Vintage meets modern. History meets the future. All in one weekend.**
📅 **October 30 – November 1**
📍 **Biloxi, Mississippi**
Whether you're a Vintage racer, a current CIK competitor, a karting fan, or simply want to see what this sport is all about, make plans to join us in Biloxi!

🏁 **The VKA Fall-Fling is almost here. Let's go racing!**
The ** Drive Your Line Podcast** just wrapped up another recording with two more guests, including returning guest **Deanne Olsen**!
This time, we dug into some of the very real challenges facing karting today—particularly at the **local, grassroots club level**.
We can build the biggest national series, race at the greatest facilities, and create incredibly competitive programs, but none of it will amount to **a mound of used racing tires** if we aren't continually introducing **new racers and new families** to the sport.
That's where grassroots karting matters.
The financial jump from local club racing to regional and national competition has become significant. For many families, taking that next step requires an entirely different level of budget, travel, equipment, and commitment. That's causing racers to rethink where—and sometimes whether—they have a future in the sport.
So where does that leave us?
**Are we putting enough effort into growing our local tracks and clubs? Are we creating affordable places for new racers to start? And are we building a sustainable ladder that allows racers to progress without pricing them out along the way?**
National racing may be the top of the pyramid—but **grassroots karting is the foundation holding it up.**
We get into all of it on an upcoming episode of the **Drive Your Line Podcast**.
This is a conversation karting needs to be having.
Also joining us on the **Drive Your Line Podcast** is **A.J. Fox, owner of Quaker City Motorsports**.
A.J. shares his vision and purpose for the facility, gives us an update on the improvements being made at the track, and discusses how the closing of **PittRace** has impacted Quaker City Motorsports and kart racers throughout the surrounding region.
More importantly, A.J. understands just how critical the **local level of karting** is to the future of our sport. He's not just talking about grassroots growth—he's actively working to create a place where new racers can get started, current racers can continue competing, and families can become part of the karting community.
When tracks disappear, we don't simply lose a place to race. We risk losing racers, families, volunteers, future competitors, and an important entry point into the sport.
A.J. has a firm grasp on what needs to happen at the club level and is working hard to provide the kind of **grassroots racing and sustainable growth that karting desperately needs.**
It's another important perspective in our continuing conversation about **where karting is today—and where we need to take it tomorrow.**
If you have read this post in its entirety...THANK YOU for reading. Post below where your next is going to be!

HEY! We're back with another podcast coming to you from the DYL Shop with updates from around the sport of karting and a special guest or two.

This Tuesday, August 25th we will go over the points from the UKC and AKRA Karting, as well as a quick recap from road racing around the country. Then we will close out the hour with Fox, owner of Quaker City Motorsports Park. I can't wait to hear about the newish karting complex they have built on this impressive piece of land. (I used to live less than half a mile from this track. That drag strip was always packed!)
