Today, we unite to honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and safety. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we remember the heroes who gave everything so we could enjoy the lives we cherish every day. It’s National Safe Boating Week, and one of the most important safety reminders on the water is making sure children are wearing the right life jacket!

Approved:
U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets that are properly sized for your child’s weight and fit snugly (make sure the label inside says "USCG Approved").

Not Approved:
Inflatable arm bands, water wings, neck floats, impact/comp vests, and swim toys are not substitutes for a life jacket and should never be relied on for boating safety.

A properly fitted life jacket should:
• Keep your child’s chin above water
• Fit snugly without riding up over the ears
• Include a crotch strap for smaller children when applicable

Before heading out this season, take a few extra minutes to check your gear and make sure everyone on board is prepared for a safe and memorable summer on the water. 🛥️😎⭐️
