The safety of our clients and our communities remains at the top of our operating priorities. As you are aware, this is a very fluid situation and business operation decisions must be based on each unique situation while also observing protocols from local jurisdictions. At this time, the continued operation of Abyss Pool Services is deemed essential to the health and well-being of our communities for the reasons stated below.

· Proper sanitation to bodies of water is a basic necessity for the health of our community. As children and families across the country are being asked to shelter at home, providing the means for properly sanitized home pool environments is critical to helping maintain community health.

· According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), COVID-19 [cdc.gov] CANNOT survive in properly treated pool and hot tub water.

· Untreated water can promote many other types of bacteria (Pseudomonas, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Shigella etc.)

· The World Health Organization (WHO) [who.int] states that controlling water quality is necessary to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases:

For these reasons and unless otherwise instructed by a particular jurisdiction, Abyss Pool Services, LLC will remain open throughout this crisis to ensure the proper functionality of residential swimming pools. For extra precaution we will be sanitizing surfaces that we come into contact with during our presence at your home. (I.e. gate latches, pool equipment, and other potentially shared surfaces we may touch during servicing.) On a more personal note, my family and I thank you for your continued business. During these uncertain and trying times, we stand in solidarity with you all and are praying for the health of our nation to be restored. Never a dull moment for a ! They are the unsung backyard heroes out to save all the critters from certain chlorinated death!🐢 Also, if you don’t remember Martin from a couple summers ago, please allow us to reintroduce him! Martin Daugherty is senior at the University of Alabama and will be with us again this summer! Martin is a bear hugging, truck tinkering, sunshine seeking, dog snuggling, football watching, hard working, Jesus loving, life of the party, and an all around great guy.
