for being named the inaugural recipient of
the American Safety Transit Guardian Angel Award
On May 28, 2026, while traveling (on duty), Angela came upon the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident moments after it occurred. Upon noticing an injured individual in a roadside ditch, Angela immediately contacted her supervisor, exited her vehicle, responded to the scene, and called 911 to initiate emergency assistance. While awaiting first responders, Angela remained on scene and assisted in rendering aid to the injured individual while communicating with emergency dispatchers to ensure a rapid response. Her calmness, quick thinking, and willingness to act in a time of crisis exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, public service, and compassion.
In recognition of her extraordinary actions, Angela has been named the recipient of the American Safety Transit Guardian Angel Award. Her selfless response reflects the values that define American Safety and serves as an example of how one person's actions can make a meaningful difference during an emergency.
