EVs are fast no doubt.

Say whatever you want about EVs… but this just happened. ⚡️

The Ford Racing team didn’t just pull up to Charlotte—they shook the whole conversation. At the NHRA national event, they went straight at the record books and made it loud.

For some perspective:
The quickest four-wheel EV pass has been 7.235, set by Don Garlits in Swamp Rat 38.
Top speed? 201.07 mph from Steve Huff.

And across all EVs, the outright ET still belongs to Hans-Henrik Thomsen with a 6.610 on two wheels.

After this weekend… those numbers are officially on notice. 👀

Still crazy top 10 around the track

The 9th fastest vehicle EVER around the Nürburgring is a VAN!!

In today's realm of weird news, Ford just laid down a crazy lap time at the Nürburgring, setting a 6:48 pass in the Ford Transit Supervan 4.2.

The van was originally designed as a Pikes Peak racer boasting 2000 hp on four slicks with a variety of other modifications that make the van what Ford calls a "Bespoke Race Car."

That being said, it's still pretty wild to try and wrap your brain around something that is sized and shaped like a van making a lap time that's faster than the majority of the most impressive production cars to ever touch the ring and 9th fastest all time.
