It’s a busy offseason for Team HMS. Here’s a little behind the scenes update-

Penny Pincher Funny Car is pretty much race ready after not making many runs in 2024. Transmission and 3rd member check along with a few maintenance items. Keith Zimmerer hopes to make the full Funny Car Chaos tour in 2025.

BTnT Motorsports - Bill Bernard has brought HMS on board to tune at all 2025 Funny Car Chaos events. The team is working this offseason to make the changes to a HMS Engine/Randy Anderson Fuel System combo with an HMS spec’ed Neal Chance Racing Converters. Bernard and Zimmerer will operate as a two car team in the Chaos A Field.

Brutus Racing - Team owner John Troxel has brought HMS on as a consultant to start the 2025 Chaos series. Among the changes over the offseason will be a complete re-wire of the car by HMS, a Randy Anderson Fuel System and HMS power management tune up. The team hopes to break into the 3 second zone in 2025 and make a serious run at the Funny Car Chaos Championship in the B Field.

Joey L Luttrull - NHRA Top Dragster racer Joey Luttrull will have HMS back on board in 2025 to tune his Bullet EFI Screw Blown hemi. The BAE engine is currently getting a freshen up by HMS. The Coan Turbo Glode 2 speed trans is getting freshened by Ricky Howell. With a full season under his belt, Luttrull hopes to make a run at the Division 4 points in 2025. He will also crew on Keith Zimmerer’s FC when not racing his car.

Jim Ingram - HMS will be back on board Jim Ingram’s “Bad Trouble 3” Screw blown hemi mud rail. Ingram is gearing up for a run at the Mud Racers Association Championship and record book in 2025. Extensive updates to the engine combination include new BAE heads, HMS Spec 60 mm camshaft and Manton Rockerarms. The car will also make a trip to Tommy Gunns Speed Shop for Joe Monden to build a new fuel tank and make a few other updates.

Attention in the pits! We are proud to announce the 1st Annual CATS "Crew And Tuning Seminar" is set for Friday and Saturday, January 19-20th, at the Texas Motorplex Champion's Club.

This two day seminar will be led by six time Champion tuner / crew chief Will Hanna and moderated by Chris Graves. CATS was created for drag race teams of all kinds and of all experience levels with the objective of improving general understanding, organization, safety and performance of your race team and race car.
