One of the best speeches I’ve heard on Memorial Day! We can never repay them for the sacrifice they made for us to enjoy our freedoms. We still get to do what we love due to the freedom afforded us by our service members that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you is not enough, but that combined with honoring them is the best we can do.

1954 Chevy Truck with a twist - it’s on an S10 Chassis. Diagnosed and repaired some electrical problems before releasing her back onto the road. A truly stunning truck!

This Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible came in after sitting for an extended period and needed some proper attention.

We drained and serviced the fuel system, replaced a carburetor that was corroded beyond repair with the correct Quadrajet for this car, and tuned it to run the way it should. We also performed a full inspection to give the owner confidence getting it back on the road.

It’s always good to see classics like this brought back to life — and done the right way!

1964 Corvette.
This numbers-matching beaut came in for an inspection and minor repairs, but left with a fully re-built engine with period correct parts. Diagnosis of a tired motor revealed a camshaft with 3 lobes that had been ground flat. We partnered with for a full re-build. After some final tuning, this Vette is back in the hands of a very happy client!

1964 Ford Fairlane.

We recently had the pleasure of working on this stunning ‘64 Fairlane, ensuring we keep it fun, safe & reliable.

- Upgraded to a modern rack & pinion steering system
- Repaired the A/C to keep things cool
- Installed a new Edelbrock AVS carburetor for improved performance
- Replaced control arms, leaf springs, and bushings for a smoother ride
- Performed a full alignment and replaced rear wheel cylinders
- Addressed the client’s concern about low 1st gear by swapping in 3.55 rear gears

Now, this classic car drives like a dream—combining vintage charm with modern reliability!

Today we remember those that sacrificed everything. Not just their lives, but their family, friends, and fellow service men and women had to suffer loss as well. All of us at Baxter Automotive Services want to express our thankfulness for their ultimate sacrifice. We are free to do what we love, because of them.

I have a client that is moving about 5 minutes outside of Asheville, NC. He has a 1967 C10 that he would like to know of good shops in that area, to maintain and repair the truck. He’s worried about not having someone to properly service it. I need recommendations of shops in that area. Thanks for any help.

This 1964 Corvette came to us with a broken rear suspension link. Upon inspection, we found some previous repairs that needed to be done correctly. We replaced the rear suspension link, as well as both rear control arms and wheel bearings. Then we disassembled the front suspension and replaced all of the lower control arm mounts, and properly secured them to the frame. Performed a 4 wheel alignment and then completed some maintenance items, and an electronic ignition conversion that all fits under the original distributor cap. This allows us to have modern reliability, and maintain that important original appearance. This car is now ready to be safely enjoyed for many years to come!
