Yesterday, Tax Commissioner Darla Eden met with local 8th-grade student Eden Pethel, the artist behind the winning design for the new 250 Year Anniversary Revolutionary War specialty plate now available in our office.

To recognize her accomplishment, Darla presented Eden with a commemorative prestige plate engraved with her name. The two also enjoyed the fun coincidence of sharing the name Eden, which made the moment even more memorable. It was a proud celebration of her creativity and the history reflected in the 250-year plate she designed.

Congratulations to Eden on her outstanding work and the talent she brought to this project.

Good afternoon, everyone!! I’m sure some of you remember Wesley’s nephew, Shadoe, that used to work here. Last October he & his wife, Jessie, had a bouncing baby boy named Kai. Kai was born with a condition called Hydrocephalus aka water on the brain. There will be a fundraiser to help them raise money for medical expenses. Please join us if you can!
