Every inch in this van earns its spot. The bed's built full-size without eating into garage space for gear, the garage still fits what you actually need to haul, the kitchen counter gives you real room to cook instead of a token strip of laminate, and the outside table means dinner doesn't have to happen crammed on a bumper. None of it's an accident. It's six years of figuring out what dimensions actually make life on the road work.

Pebble's about to kick off a huge new chapter for its owners: they're expecting a baby, and this van is where a whole lot of that story is going to happen.

Six years of building vans has taught us a lot about what people actually need on the road, not just in theory. Nate's currently two months into his own European trip, and it's turning into a real-time reminder: a fold-down table matters a lot more before a 6am ferry into Newhaven, and blackout curtains matter a lot more when you're trying to sleep in on a bright street in Lisbon.

That kind of real-world feedback is exactly what's shaping every build now, alongside tighter processes in the shop and weekly check-ins with clients.

There's no van life without the dog. It shows up in almost every build — a nook for the dog bed, a spot for the water bowl, extra airflow for hot afternoons, some thought given to keeping muddy paws off clean cabinetry. Because for a lot of folks, the dog isn't just tagging along — they're a big part of why the trip's happening at all.

They don't care about the solar setup or the cabinetry joints. They care about window seats, new smells, and however many times a day you'll stop the van so they can sniff something. And somehow that makes the whole thing better — a good hike hits different with a dog leading the way, and camp always feels more like home with one curled up at your feet.

Happy National Dog Day to every co-pilot who's ever ridden shotgun, slept diagonally across the whole bed, and made a random gravel pullout feel like the best spot on earth.

The whole crew, one build.

Nate walked away from electrical engineering in 2015, sold everything, and lived the van life across Colorado, the PNW, and the Caribbean before landing in Asheville and starting Raft Tiger in 2019. Right now he's honeymooning through Europe with Tori — van included.

Lovell's car audio background makes him a wiring machine — clean layouts, flawless installs, keeps the whole build schedule on track. Off the clock he's camping with his kids or catching a live show.

Adam's a fine carpenter who built his own van before joining us, so every cabinet fits and every system's built to last. When he's not in the shop, he's halfway up a cliff in Utah.

And behind the scenes — that's me, getting this work in front of the people who need to see it.
