Report from Thilo Baldes
Race day began on a wet track, so we didn’t run the Q2 and Q3 qualifying sessions. By the time the final qualifying session rolled around, the track was completely dry. Thilo put in a perfect run and secured first place ahead of Daniel Toennessen.
The 30-minute final began in the late afternoon with temperatures still above 30 °C.
Starting from pole position, Thilo immediately pulled ahead of Daniel Toennessen. With clean laps, he steadily extended his lead. With three minutes to go, he was in the lead, 1.5 laps ahead of Lars Hoppe. Unfortunately a technical problem stopped the race.
Ultimately, Thilo delivered a fantastic driving performance, and the Serpent 990R as well as our Ielasi engines ran perfectly throughout the entire weekend. The same goes for all the other equipment provided by our sponsors.
