To parents of the CHILDREN that thought it was a good idea to put cinder blocks inside a snowman, I’ve already contacted the police.

My 2008 Silverado is damaged cause kids thought they were being clever.

This wasn’t a harmless joke. It was dangerous and stupid, and it could have seriously hurt someone, not just wrecked a car.

If I find out who did this, I am pressing charges.

So now I’m dealing with reports, repairs, and insurance because of a snowman.


This is NOT funny, and I am beyond annoyed!

This is why you got to be careful on who works on your vehicle....... You may have a shop owner that has 20 to 30 to 40 years of experience but under him are only 2-3 years experience.

Long story short: I’m a 2nd-year apprentice and was doing an oil pan gasket on an early-2000s Honda Accord. While torquing the bolts, I didn’t realize the oil dipstick had gotten pinched between the pan and the block. Ended up breaking a piece of the block clean off. I genuinely didn’t even know that was possible.

My boss is letting the shop’s insurance handle it, but I’m pretty convinced I’m getting fired. It really sucks because I actually like where I work, and now I’m worried no other shop will want to take me on once they hear what happened.

If anyone has a mistake that somehow tops this, I’d honestly love to hear it. Feeling super discouraged right now, and hearing about other people’s screw-ups might help put things into perspective. 💬🤔🚗

I always love working on a Chevy, but yesterday’s Tahoe reminded me that no two jobs are the same. What should have been a standard brake service turned into a battle against seized bolts and cross-threaded hardware.
In the mobile repair world, you have to be ready for anything. It took a little longer than planned, but I made sure every bolt was right and that Tahoe is back on the road safely. Whether it’s a quick swap or a tough teardown, I don’t leave until the job is done right. 🛠️
