Not every vehicle needs the same level of paint correction.

Different paints, different defects, and different expectations all play a role in determining how much correction is needed to achieve the desired result.

This black Expedition received our Level 2 Enhancement, a one step correction designed to improve gloss and clarity while removing a good amount of the lighter swirls and defects in the paint.

As you can see in the before and after, sometimes a one step correction can make a major difference.

Paint correction isn’t always about chasing perfection. It’s about choosing the right process for the vehicle and getting the best results while preserving the paint.

A little different Saturday for Huntz Auto Works.

We spent the day at Bottom Creek’s car show in North Branch doing live detailing demonstrations, talking with car owners and answering questions about everything from proper washing techniques and products to paint correction and ceramic coatings.

The weather didn’t exactly cooperate with us, but we still had a great time getting out of the shop and talking cars with everyone who stopped by.

Thank you to Bottom Creek for inviting us out and to everyone who stopped by the booth throughout the day!

Hopefully we’ll get the opportunity to do more events like this in the future.

Pictures never do Harley paint justice

This Harley Davidson Road Glide came in for a full polish and ceramic coating, and once we brought the clarity back into the paint, the color absolutely came alive.

The owner was hesitant about coating it after having a bad experience elsewhere in the past, but decided to give it another shot. After seeing the finished bike, his reaction said it all, he was shocked at the difference.

Proper preparation makes all the difference, and we’re glad he trusted us to give ceramic protection another chance.

King Ranch leather deserves a little extra attention.

Over time, leather can start to look dry and lose some of the rich appearance it had when new. Proper cleaning and conditioning helps replenish the leather, improve its appearance, and keep it soft and cared for.

Bringing it back to our routes

This 1957 Chevy Bel Air came in for a little extra attention before hitting the road again. We performed a Level 2 Enhancement to remove many of the light swirls and old holograms that had built up over time, bringing back the depth and clarity of the paint without chasing perfection.

To finish it off, we polished the chrome, refreshed the interior, and protected the paint with a coat of sealant followed by a carnauba wax, leaving it with the deep, warm glow that classic cars are known for.

There's something special about seeing a piece of automotive history shining the way it deserves.

There's nothing better than a long ride... until it's time to clean off the bugs.

This 2022 Indian Roadmaster came in for a thorough wash and decontamination before receiving a ceramic coating designed specifically for matte paint.

Most people only ever see the finished result.

What they don't see is everything that happens in between.

This video shows three different stages of the paint correction process on the same truck:
• Driver door – untouched paint with years of swirls, scratches, and oxidation.
• Rear door – after the initial heavy cutting stage, where most defects have been removed but the finish still needs refining.
• Bedside – the completed result after multiple polishing steps.

Paint correction isn't about making every vehicle perfect. It's about safely removing as many defects as possible while preserving the integrity of the paint.

On this truck, years of environmental exposure left behind deeper etching that couldn't be safely removed, but the overall transformation speaks for itself.

Every vehicle is different, and the goal is always the same: achieve the best possible finish while keeping the paint healthy for years to come.

There's something satisfying about starting ownership off the right way.
