🚗 A Journey Through Southeast Asia with NSVCCC 🚗
In September 2024 , We completed an unforgettable adventure with the Negeri Sembilan Vintage & Classic Car Club (NSVCCC), covering an incredible 4,500 km from Malaysia to Thailand, Cambodia, and back home! We drove our 52-year-old Opel Manta A—a true vintage beauty that many doubted would complete such a demanding journey, but she proved everyone wrong with not a single hiccup. This journey reminded us that these classics still have so much to give.
Each new town we encountered, especially in Cambodia and Thailand, brought fresh surprises, cultures, and landscapes that enriched our journey. We were thrilled to arrive in Cambodia right as the legendary Gumball 3000 cars were departing—an inspiring crossover moment between the old and new. The warm reception from the Cambodian community, especially the cheers from schoolchildren and the kind support from police officials managing traffic for us, filled us with gratitude and pride.
A heartfelt thank you to NSVCCC for organizing such a meticulously planned and truly unforgettable event. A special shoutout to Master Suren for ensuring our machines stayed in top form throughout the journey. Together with Jayaraj, we couldn’t be prouder to be part of this incredible family of enthusiasts who recognize that vintage cars are more than just machines—they are pieces of history, expressions of our passion, and timeless reminders of a cherished era.
To all vintage and classic car owners out there: Never doubt the strength and beauty of your car. These machines were built to last, to endure, and to inspire. Keep them on the road, keep them running, and let them tell their stories. They’re not just cars; they’re legacies on wheels.
