MG has introduced the new MG 07 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), combining a petrol engine with an electric powertrain to offer improved efficiency and extended driving flexibility. The MG 07 is also available in fully electric versions, making it an important addition to MG’s growing electrified lineup.
The PHEV version features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 152 kW electric motor. Its electric-only driving range is reported at up to 185 km, allowing drivers to complete many daily city trips using electric power alone while retaining the petrol engine for longer journeys.
The MG 07 stands out with its sleek fastback design, slim LED headlights, coupe-inspired roofline and aerodynamic bodywork. The interior is expected to focus heavily on technology, comfort and smart connectivity.
MG is also equipping the model with advanced driver-assistance technology, including the Momenta R7 intelligent driving system and roof-mounted LiDAR, designed to support features such as intelligent navigation and enhanced driving assistance.
Alongside the PHEV, the fully electric MG 07 is offered with reported 610 km and 650 km CLTC ranges, giving buyers multiple electrified powertrain options.
With its combination of electric driving capability, petrol-engine backup, sporty styling and advanced technology, the MG 07 PHEV is positioned as a practical option for drivers who want the benefits of an EV without completely relying on charging infrastructure.
