Malaysia Elantra MD Club
Dear all Elantra Malaysia Club members,
Hope 2016 has been a wonderful year for everyone, well at least it has been for the club definitely.
This year marks EMC's 5th anniversary since it was first established 2012. Andrew Chong, our very 1st EMC President, together with his committee members at that time had a very strong mission towards the club, which is to become the best car enthusiast club in Malaysia. They had the passion to gather all seriously addicted, passionate, weird, insane, psychotic and hyper-active Hyundai Elantra MD owners under 1 roof. After 3 years of managing the club, Andrew passed the presidential post to Shahril Amri, our 2nd EMC president on 2015 to continue the club journey. On the 1st April 2015, due to personal reasons, the presidential post was passed on to Avin Murthy who then became EMC's 3rd president.
In the whole 5 years since EMC was first established, we saw a lot of growth in terms of the numbers of members who joined. From 20+ members in 2012 when EMC first establish to 1700+ members to date, we now have members from all around peninsular Malaysia. Besides that, we saw a lot of passion from each area members as well, whereby they organized their own big scale TT besides the Mega TT that has been held in around KL/Selangor Area.
End of 2015, Southern member (JB) successfully organized Kluang Mega TT, inviting all EMC members as well as neighbouring country Singapore ESC member. In the year 2016, Ipoh member successfully organized Ipoh TT, inviting all EMC members to join in as well. Kudos to those 2 areas that organize the TT well and help to inject back enthusiasm and passion among the members towards the club.
“Embark on a new journey”
As most of us already know, Hyundai Malaysia is going to launch its sixth generation of the Elantra model called the Hyundai Elantra AD. In preparation to welcome the newly launch Model. The newly establish committee had make decision that it is time for the club to undergo some changes by revamping the club logo as well as the club name. We have made decision to change our club name from Malaysia Elantra MD Club to Elantra Malaysia Club. The decision to remove the word MD was made to welcome the new AD owners that are going to join the club starting next year.
We have launch and introduce the new club logo at the recent Straits Crossover TT which was held on the 26th November 2016. Therefore, we hope all members would continue to stay and embark on a new journey with us. The new club registration link as well as other details as follows:
