⛩️TEAM SORA free lesson/advice #1 ⛩️

Hi guys, based on our recent live, we realise some are confused regarding driveaway & downpayment. So here is a short and simplified explanation on the subject.

Downpayment - Refers to the initial amount you choose to pay upfront for the car to decrease the loan amount you’re taking. Example, a car is $100,000 and you decide to put 20% downpayment making the loan you’re taking $80,000.

Driveaway - Refers to the necessary costs such as 1st month Instalment, insurance and admin fees. Example, if a client wants to only pay $500 driveaway, the balance of it will be added into the loan too.

So some ask if it is better to clear the driveaway and put some down. In our opinion, it is a matter of preference. Both have their pros and cons. If you have $10,000 and chose to use it to clear the driveaway and downpay a little, the difference in the monthly instalment is somewhat like, a car of $1,4xx monthly becomes $1,2xx monthly (just an example). It is just a matter of preference.
