The first time I heard this word Legacy, it was during my stint in the hospitality industry. Remember how my boss share with me how my predecessor left a legacy behind for me to continue nurturing it.

Now that I have enter the funeral services, my perspective towards this word, Legacy, had a whole new twist to it.

Legacy not only comes in forms of monetary. In the context now, it meant to me the kind of virtues we want our descendants, our loved ones to look up to us for, and carry it with them in their life.

At the wakes I’ve seen through, I’ve seen friends and relatives grief not just the loss of someone dear to them, they looked back on how their loved ones treated them when they’re still around. And the priceless lessons they learnt i.e. selfless love, forgiving, positive, someone who only bring laughter to everyone and many more to list.
