IAME Asia Pacific Games 2026 | LYL International Kart Circuit, Malaysia

A tough weekend for Fireball Motorsports, but one that showed serious promise, resilience, and progress across the board.

In Seniors, Stefano Padani ( ) and Nooris Gafoor ( ) worked relentlessly to dial in the setup throughout the weekend. Both drivers did a great job adapting, refining the kart, and executing on track.

Stefano showed strong race craft and determination all the way to the finals, finishing P7 on track. A result that reflected the fight he brought every session.

For Nooris, it was his first proper race weekend at LYL, with only one day of testing last year prior to this event. He adapted quickly, showed strong improvement through the sessions, and impressed particularly in the wet practice on Friday. While we struggled for outright pace in the finals, the development and speed shown throughout the weekend was a big positive.

In Masters, Darren Formosa was quick all weekend once again. Unfortunately, for the second week in a row, a mechanical issue out of the team’s control ended our charge. The pace is there, and Darren remains one to watch in the upcoming IAME rounds.

In Cadets, Makayla Draper and Joshua Tan made significant steps forward from Round 1. Michaela drove a strong race to finish P13, showing clear progress. Joshua demonstrated great race craft throughout the weekend. Although unlucky in the finals, the pace and confidence are building, and he’s firmly in the mix moving forward.

A weekend that showed plenty of potential, even if the final results didn’t fully reflect the speed we had. We go back to the drawing board, regroup, and prepare for Round 2 of the IAME Asia Series in Thailand.

We’ll be back stronger.

🏆 Podium in Round 1 | IAME Series Asia @
LYL International Kart Circuit, Malaysia 🏆

A really strong weekend for Fireball Motorsports with solid performances across all categories.

Senior X30:

Stefano Padani ( ) showed strong pace all weekend and made it clear we were there to fight for the win. A bit unlucky in qualifying, but a big fight back in the finals to finish P3, securing a podium. On top of that, we officially set the fastest lap record at LYL.

James Lee ( ) tackled LYL for the first time and showed great improvement throughout the weekend. Strong progress session by session and proved he could mix it with the field.

Masters:

Darren Formosa was quick all weekend and consistently showed P1 pace. Unfortunately, a mechanical issue in the final meant we couldn’t start the race, but the speed shown confirms we’re definite contenders for future wins.

Cadet:

Makayla Draper and Joshua Tan ( ) both showed great progress. Michaela set a strong practice time that set us up well for the weekend, while Joshua continued to improve and achieved his best-ever qualifying result in P12. Finals results saw P15 for Michaela and P19 for Joshua. Big steps forward from both drivers.

Strong showing overall, but we’re not done yet. We’re back again this week for the IAME Asia Pacific Games, with Makayla Draper, Stefano Padani, Darren Formosa, and the returning Nooris Gafoor ( ).

Let’s keep the momentum going!

ROK Cup Asia 2025 | Philippines Round 5 Recap

A wet and unpredictable weekend tested our team, but our senior drivers, Nikhil Bohra and Oscar Cura, showed relentless determination.

Nikhil was on fire from the start. P1 in Qualifying and wins in all 3 heats. A tricky dry pre-final saw the field catch up, finishing P4, but in the Finals, an unfortunate DNF that was out of our control stole a potential win. Still, a weekend that proved our raw pace at the front.

Oscar faced a tough start in Qualifying but never backed down. Through grit and consistency, he stormed back to P10 in the Finals. A massive comeback and a performance to be proud of.

We leave the Philippines with valuable lessons, fierce spirit, and our eyes set on the next round.

‼️Podium finishes in ROK Cup Singapore Rd 4 ‼️

In the Cadet category, our driver, Satt Kotak brought home P1 overall after a strong display all weekend! He kept his cool under pressure and drove like a champion from lights out to chequered flag. 🏆

Our senior driver saw strong pace all weekend. P4 in qualifying, up to P3 in Heats & Pre-Final, and fighting back to P3 in the Final before red flags and rain brought it home in P4. 🏆

Proud of both our drivers for showing everyone our pace, and true Fireball spirit. Let’s keep pushing!
