What a blast we had at Tjörn Runt battling 110 other boats thru the Swedish archipelago around Tjörn in this legendary regatta with Sh**un43 Nike, skippered by Martin Angsell! Starting last, as one of the biggest boats, Nike had her work cut out for her with course full of boats and littered with both visible and submerged granite. A true test of not just boat speed but also tactics and navigation. After a strong upwind leg the course opened up allowing Nike to truly stretch her legs on a Code0 reach with perfect conditions racing along with steady speeds of around 15knots and a top speed of 17knots before reaching the iconic Kyrkösund. The crew threaded the needle thru Kyrkösund with the Code0 before hoisting the A2 for the final approach to the line after having past almost every boat on course- almost meaning we will be back next year to settle the score 🤙
