A weekend to forget.
My first time at Cremona Circuit in Italy, and from Thursday’s practice sessions I felt really good on the bike. The circuit suited me well, and I was feeling confident heading into the weekend.
Unfortunately, Friday started with a crash on the first lap. The bike got stuck between gears, causing the rear wheel to lock up. I missed the second practice session, and during qualifying we discovered that the front forks were bent.
We tried everything we could to get the bike back into shape for Saturday, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish Race 1.
After several attempts, we decided to find a compromise that would allow me to take part in both races on Sunday. I fought with the bike throughout the races just to make it to the finish and collect some valuable points.
A huge thank you to my team for all the effort and for repairing the bike in record time, giving me the chance to continue the weekend. I’m sorry that this event didn’t allow us to fight for the positions we were aiming for.
