So, we’ve some pictures to put up showing all the work that we’ve been carrying out on the 1965 Alfa Romeo 1300 Giulia Scalino. Last time we posted we’d fully stripped it, given it a medium sand blast which revealed lots of bad diy repairs in its past. We had to replace some panels and it’s been so worth it, the result is fantastic. Shots of the body work attached

Folks, we’ve started a new project, it’s a 1965 Alfa Romeo 1300 Giulia Scalino. We bought this car a few years ago and it’s been waiting in the wings for it’s restoration. We fully stripped it, it’s had a medium sand blast which revealed lots of bad diy repairs in its past. That’s ok, it’s slowed us down a bit as we decided the best course was to put all new panels and keep only the roof and the structure. We’re excited, it’s going to be a good one, a high spec GTAR:)

It’s been a while since we posted and we’ve been working all the while in and out of lockdown, and what a result!! Out of all the car projects I’ve carried out over the years I think this one is the winner, Alfa Romeo Spider 101, 1963......
We’ll be posting more detail of the rebuild stages later but for the time being feast your eyes on these 😍

Folks we’re still here! Hope you are all keeping safe . We’ve been hunkered down in the workshop for the last couple of months working hard on the spider. Really happy with the shape it’s taking, progress is slow but we’re getting there and it’s looking good. Getting excited now about what we will see at the end. I’m going to start putting up some pics of the work that’s been taking place. Stay tuned 👍

The beautiful days and temperatures of around 20 degrees have come at the perfect time to let us move the spider outside and begin sandblasting all of the exterior shell. 🌞

We’re moving along, the last week we’ve spent cleaning parts by sandblasting. It’s a slow job but the results are worth it.

Car on a spit! The spider has finally, after weeks of stripping down and cataloguing parts, and assessing what lies beneath🧐 been mounted on the spit. Lots of parts have been sent out for chroming, others for refurb to original specs. We are excited now because the next step will be dust blasting and body work, we’ll be posting videos so check back 👍

We’re back in the garage continuing with stripping the Alfa Spider down. Once we’ve finished stripping it down, the next step will be putting it on the rotisserie frame for dustless blasting. Here’s some photos of the current state, there’s a bit of rust but we won’t know the full picture until we’ve done the blasting.
