Next month, Dubai will host an auction by RM Sotheby's, featuring some of the rarest supercars from top brands. Among them is a recreation of the 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic, estimated to sell for millions. Also up for auction is the Aston Martin Valkyrie, priced between $2.9 million to $3.3 million. This will be the first time the Valkyrie is offered for sale at an auction in Dubai.

For McLaren fans, the 2014 McLaren P1 will be auctioned with an estimated price of Dh2.93 million to Dh3.67 million. Ferrari enthusiasts can bid on the 2022 Ferrari 812 Competizione, expected to cost between Dh4 million to Dh4.77 million.
Lamborghini lovers will have the chance to purchase the 2017 Lamborghini Centenario LP770-4 Coupé, priced between Dh7.34 million to Dh9.175 million.

Additionally, one of three Koenigsegg Agera RSRs exclusively made for the Japanese market will be available, estimated to cost between Dh10.2 million to Dh12.5 million.

A recent report suggests that hydrogen engines could be the future of cars, competing with electric vehicles (EVs). While EVs have been the main focus for zero-emission vehicles, hydrogen cars have advantages, emitting only water v***r. In the United States, about 2.5 million EVs have been sold, while only around 15,000 hydrogen cars are on the roads, mostly in California.

BMW is one of the companies working on hydrogen technology, planning to deliver hydrogen cars as early as 2025. Hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles use a different technology than traditional EVs, running on fuel cells that combine hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity. These vehicles, known as fuel-cell hybrid electric vehicles (FCHEV), offer fast refueling and consistent driving range regardless of temperature changes.

BMW's iX5 Hydrogen is one of the hydrogen-backed vehicles expected in 2024. It combines fifth-generation fuel cell technology with an electric motor, providing over 400 horsepower and a range of about 313 miles. Despite the increasing popularity of electric cars, hydrogen vehicles could offer a unique and green option for consumers, especially in regions where hydrogen technology is prioritized.

The report suggests that hydrogen engines have the potential to capture a portion of the automobile market, especially as the demand for electrification grows. Different driving systems, including hydrogen and electric, could coexist in the future to meet various mobility needs globally.

The Junkers Jumo 223 was an experimental 24-cylinder aircraft engine based on the Junkers Jumo 205. Like the Jumo 205, it was an opposed piston two-stroke diesel engine. It had four banks of six cylinders in a rhomboid configuration, with four crankshafts, one at each vertex of the rhombus, and 48 pistons. It was designed for a power of 2,500 horsepower at 4,400 rpm, and weighed around 2,370 kg.

Only one example is known to have been built.[citation needed] It is rumored to have been taken to Moscow at the end of World War II, where development may have continued. The engine was contemplated for use in the four-engine Messerschmitt Me 264 long-range bomber,

A common issue with turbocharged drag cars running high boost pressure and EFI is supplying enough fuel to meet the engine’s demands. This is an old favourite of ours, ‘BAGDAD’ the Micks motorsport Mitsubishi Evo8 which produced 1238 whp running 74 psi boost.

When you’re running 74 psi boost this means that the fuel pressure regulator will be raising the fuel rail pressure even higher in order to maintain a consistent differential pressure across the injector. Let’s say for example that the base fuel pressure is set to 45 psi - with 75 psi boost the fuel pressure would be increased to 120 psi 😳
There’s not too many electric pumps that are happy supplying high fuel volumes at these sort of pressures which is why we commonly see mechanical fuel pumps used in these high boost/high power applications such as the Kinsler Fuel Injection pump you can see here being driven off the intake cam.
