How to prevent mold during rainy weather:

1️⃣ Remove wet items from your car immediately. Don’t leave wet umbrellas, carpets, or shoes inside the vehicle.

2️⃣ Check for leaks. Look out for water getting in through the doors, windows, sunroof, trunk, or other areas of the vehicle.

3️⃣ Make sure all windows are properly closed. Even a small opening can allow moisture to enter and build up inside the car.

4️⃣ Keep your car clean and dry. Regularly clean and check your interior, especially during prolonged wet weather.

5️⃣ Use a car dehumidifier if your car tends to stay damp.

This Subaru XV came to us to resolve its mold problem. 😷

Since it’s used as a family car, the cleanup was not just about restoring the interior, it was also important to help prevent potential health issues caused by mold exposure.

Surface cleaning or normal wiping can’t completely resolve a mold problem. Mold can be underneath the carpet padding, under the seats, and mold spores may continue to circulate inside the cabin. 🦠

Issues like this require an interior deep clean. That’s why we recommended our INTERIOR DETAILING Package A (Seat & Carpet Pullout) to strip down the interior and thoroughly clean the affected areas, helping reduce the chances of mold returning.
