🚦 BEFORE YOU CHANGE LANES, CHECK TWICE!
Changing lanes is more than turning your steering wheel. It requires awareness, proper signaling, and good judgment to keep everyone safe on the road.
Remember the 4 SAFE steps:
✅ S — Signal Early: Use your turn signal to communicate your intention to other road users.
✅ A — Assess Your Surroundings: Check your rearview and side mirrors for approaching vehicles.
✅ F — Find Your Blind Spots: Briefly check the appropriate blind spot before moving.
✅ E — Execute When Safe: Change lanes smoothly only when there is enough space. Cancel your signal once the maneuver is complete.
⚠️ Avoid these common mistakes:
❌ Changing lanes without signaling.
❌ Relying on mirrors alone.
❌ Cutting off another vehicle.
❌ Changing lanes abruptly or across solid lane markings where prohibited.
💡 DRIVING TIP: Your signal tells others what you intend to do—it does not give you the right of way.
