I will never get tired of saying how well engineered the stock suspension of the Honda Jazz/Fit is.

Despite the extra body roll, it's performing on par versus the coilovers in the slalom! 🤯

We are making progress! Key takeaways from yesterday's Super Sprint shakedown:

- New wheel fitment is tight! Fortunately tuning the bumpstop engagement prevented significant tire rubbing, in fact, there was no rubbing at all!

- Radiator air guides worked better than expected. Fabricated a pair of air guides which didn't came with the stock made from cheap EVA foam. Dropped overall peak temps compared to previous rounds!

- Negative 3.5 camber works wonders in the corners but sacrificed braking grip. Type R brakes have so much potential. Unfortunately the car just goes into ice mode at full brake pressure. Dropping to 75% brake pressure helped at the expense of earlier braking points.

- Lighter wheels? I'm not sure if it helped in acceleration, but I can now screech the tires a bit from a full stop. Less rotational mass might have also helped the brakes work better now making the Advan Fleva become the weakest link.

Best time 72.9sec with final settings of:

- 20 clicks / 14 clicks from soft Front and rear (5k / 5k springs)
- Cold tire pressures 26psi F / 24psi R

The car did it's best but grip worsened as the track temps soared. Overall, my confidence levels at the limit went up and I'm happy with the results!

PS: I still suck at paddleshifting in autocross 🤪
