Category L1a LEVs

Applicable to two-wheeled electric mopeds and bicycles that are operated with or without pedaling and with maximum speed not exceeding 25kph.

Requirements

- Drivers are required to wear bicycle helmet to operate such vehicles.

- Vehicles are not required to be registered.
- Drivers are not required to have a license.

Restrictions

- Limited to barangay roads as well as to designated bicycle lanes.

- May pass (but only to cross) national and other types of roads that intersect with the allowed roads.

- Cannot be used for public transport purposes.

Two Wheeled units capable of a speed of 26 kph up to maximum 50 kph

Category L2a LEVs

Three Wheeled units capable of a speed of 26 kph up to maximum 50 kph

Category L3 LEVs - E-motorcycles

Category L4 and L5 LEVs - E-tricycles / Three-wheeled Vehicles

Category L6 and L7 LEVs - E-quads
