How Water Damages Your Engine

Hydro-locking: Water cannot be compressed. If water enters the combustion chamber through the air intake or exhaust, the piston's upward stroke attempts to compress it, which often bends the connecting rod, cracks the piston, or breaks the engine block entirely.
