The Automotive Body Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (ABMAP) held its 2026 Strategic Planning Session on January 28, 2026, bringing together representatives from nine member companies to set the organization’s direction for the coming year. The session was led by re-elected ABMAP President Vicente Mills, Jr. of Hino Motors Philippines Corp., with the full slate of incumbent officers likewise reaffirmed, including Raffy Juan of Centro Manufacturing Corp. as Vice President for External Affairs and Conrad Almazora of Almazora Motors Corp. as Vice President for Internal Affairs. The strong continuity in leadership underscored the members’ confidence in the current team and its vision for the industry.
During the planning discussions, ABMAP members reviewed the key challenges faced by the truck body building sector in 2025, ranging from regulatory constraints to market and operational concerns. From these discussions, the association formulated clear and measurable action plans aimed at addressing these issues in 2026. Particular emphasis was placed on supporting proposed revisions to outdated laws affecting the industry and reinforcing ABMAP’s commitment to strengthening local manufacturing, ensuring the sector remains competitive, compliant, and sustainable in the years ahead.
