THe Story of Jhenroniel BAR Topnotcher
He was just sitting quietly inside a jeep โunaware his life was about to change.
Jhenroniel Sanchez, 31.
An ordinary commute.
An ordinary day.
No idea that in a few minutes, he would learn he was Top 1 in the 2025 Bar Exams.
He never expected this.
In fact, he always called himself a โvery average student.โ
No medals.
No awards.
He even failed a subject.
Never the loud one in class.
Never the star.
Before law school, he was already a licensed electrical engineer from UP Los Baรฑos.
No dramatic reason for shifting careers โ
he simply loved reading and found meaning in it.
At UP Law Diliman, life wasnโt easy.
Full-time paralegal in Makati.
Night classes.
Daily commute.
5โ6 hours of sleep if lucky.
Exhausted? Yes.
Giving up? Never.
He never dreamed of being a topnotcher.
He wasnโt chasing recognition.
His goal was simple:
โI just want to pass.โ
When the results were about to be released,
he didnโt even wait.
Turned off his internet. Moved on.
For him, he had already done his part.
Untilโฆ
A message.
A call.
News he never expected.
Top 1.
First take.
92.70%.
If you feel average,
if you feel unseen,
if youโre doubting yourselfโ
Jhenronielโs story is proof:
You donโt have to be the smartest.
You donโt have to be confident all the time.
You donโt have to be perfect.
You just have to:
Show up every day.
Keep trying when itโs hard.
Do your best even when no one is watching.
Progress is quiet.
Growth is invisible.
But consistency always catches up.
To every young person feeling lost:
You are not behind.
You are in your season of becoming.
One day, your silent work
will speak for itself. โจ
