We are a travel platform which caters for motorcyclists seeking motorcycle friendly accommodation in New Zealand. Established by Carolyn & Kel Rood

Riders are assured that their bikes will be safe, hosts are motorcycle friendly, & costs are affordable. Our motorcycleaccommodation.nz travel platform has been designed with motorcyclists on an adventure in mind. We plan to visit each accommodation listed to personally ensure that it ticks all the non-negotiable boxes that we as motorcycle adventurers look for when searching accommodation options, and to also support hosts. Many of the hosts on the motorcycleaccommodation.nz platform will be fellow motorcycle enthusiasts who, can offer advice on local riding routes and tracks and especially for those overseas guests; our hosts may even take them riding on their favourite ones. However, it is not a prerequisite for the host to be a rider, but it is a must that they are “motorcycle friendly”. We also expect that guests, who may not always be riders themselves, need to respect the properties and their hosts they are staying at.

We love checking out our MCAANZ hosts and how better than to book 3 nights in Taranaki. Great hosts Andrew and Anne. This renovated Railway Cottage is gorgeous and such a comfortable place to call home for a few days while we are at the Tattley Rappet Guzzi rally.

Over 20 bikes, including one from the Mike Pero museum, will be on display during a two-day static Motorbike Show over the Labour Weekend, including during the Greymouth Street Race!

The static show opens to the public the day before the races on Saturday, October 24, from noon to 9pm.

On race day itself, Sunday, October 25, the doors will be open from 10am to 5pm. Please note the usual road closures will be in place.

Entry is a gold coin donation, and all proceeds go to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service.

For those who love the thrill of a ride, we will also have a bucking bull for people to try!
