From the outside they may just look like transportable buildings but inside is a fully operational radiology suite complete with two new CT scanners.

Once our team had transported the modules to site and linked them together, a new corridor was constructed to connect them to the main hospital.

Five modular units for Palmerston North Hospital leaving our Ohakune site today and Wednesday.

Eves Construction Ltd, alongside A.C.E.P.T Pty Ltd, is proud to have built these five modular units, which will be assembled together on site in the next few weeks by the team to create a fully operational Radiology CT Suite.

“Designed and constructed to meet the stringent requirements of a healthcare environment, the facility will house two state-of-the-art CT scanners. One scanner will replace an ageing machine, while the second will expand the hospital’s capacity by approximately 3,000 additional scans per year”

Big effort from Rowan, Jake, Andy and Jason heading over to Hawke’s Bay the other week to work alongside A.C.E.P.T Pty Ltd to demo two Radiology Transportables (previously built here in Ohakune).

Once demo was complete, both units were loaded and transported, arriving into Palmerston North where they’ve been stored.

Next step is shifting them up to the New Plymouth site once everything is ready.
