University of Canterbury Motorsport (UCM) is proud to announce the return of Rodin Cars as our Principal Partner for the 2026 competition season. This continues a partnership that has been instrumental in the team’s development and success in recent years.

Rodin Cars has been a supporter of UCM since 2017, and after becoming Principal Partner in 2025, the relationship has continued to grow. As part of their support, Rodin Cars provides UCM student with access to world-class manufacturing facilities, including their autoclave and titanium 3D printers. It also gives the team valuable hands-on experience with advanced materials and manufacturing processes used at the highest levels of motorsport and automotive engineering.

A huge thank you to the team at Rodin Cars for their continued support. We’re proud to have them alongside us for another season.

Each month, we share photos and the stories behind them.
This month, we’re looking back at the titanium 3D-printed uprights and suspension brackets produced for UCM25.
A huge thank you to Rodin Cars , whose support helped turn months of design and simulation into components. Seeing these parts realized was a major milestone for the whole team.

A throwback to last year when our new DTI motor and inverter package arrived for UCM25.

After months of preparation, the team wasted no time getting stuck in. Within two days of receiving the kit, the team had motors spinning. This was a pivotal step during the development of the UCM25 car as we closed in on first drive.

This would not of been possible without the work of who produced the package, but also raised the bar for FS drivetrains and usability.
