Solbø Maritime AS er lokalisert på Stonglandseidet på Senja og ble etablert i 2009. Solbø Maritime består av:

Eidet Havfiske, som består av et bygg med tre leiligheter,og utleie av 4 stk Kverno 570 skjergårdsjeep med 50 hk Yamaha, pluss en 16 fots åpen plastbåt med 20 hk Tohatsu. Fisketur fra Frovåg med denne trivelige gjengen, som har vært gjester på Norwegian Wild camp og Senja fjordhotell, i helgen.
Heftig vær først på dagen, men til slutt stille og litt sol.
Ikke så stor fangst, men god stemning og godt humør.
Ingen sjøsyk, fantastisk gjeng fra bedriftsidrettslaget til Bjørn Kjos og Norwegian.

Steike trivelig dag på tur med denne livlige gjengen fra Bergensområdet. Fant en flokk springere i Kvalsundet, så da det ble litt hvalsafari og. Ved ankomst Tromsø igjen fikk vi besøk på dekket av et andepar også.

Earlier this week these two young gests, Emma and Alex had a test of the bath temperature, outside of Kvaløya.

Orcas in Kaldfjorden today.

We could see a lot of heering and other fish on the echosounder also.

We where told by our guests that our fish soup tastes exactly the same as on"fiskekompagniet".

A great day today.

First a whale safari trip where we found a lot of orcas on the outside of Kvaløya.

Later also a very succesfully northern light trip to the northern side of Tromsø island and to Kvalsundet.
But, it is not possible to make proper aurora pictures from a shaking boat, as all can see.

A Perfect day and a great pleasure to meet all our nice guests.

Dayly whale watching trips to Skjervøy.

As all the whales for the time are in the Skjervøy area we will do dayly trips from Tromsø to Skjervøy with "Senjafjell".
Departure is 0830 from the floating docks by Scandic Ishavshotel. Estimated time back is 1630.

With Senjafjell you will be in a small group with max 12 persons, and can enjoy the trip in a warm saloon with nice wiew for all.

As the trip to Skjervøy is partly passing open fjords, all trips will be planned by respect for the weather forcasts.

The price is 1300 nok/person, and includes coffe, tea, biscuits and lunch with bread, ham and cheese etc.

"Senjafjell" is ready from the shipyard and has now started with the whale safari trips again.
We have been two trips to the Skjervøy area and tested the boat after the conversion.
The results are fantastic, both regarding to speed and how it handles the sea in windy conditions.
The deck area aft is now 4X4 meters, and as all can see, the lines and shape if very nice.

We will do dayly trips to Skjervøy now, with start from Tromsø 0830 and estimated time back 1630.

"Senjafjell" is soon finish from the Blokken shipyard. In the weekend, painting work will start. The plan is to get the boat back into the water middle of next week. After some tests and preparations it will hopefully be ready in Tromsø from 20.11.
Hope the orcas and humpbacks will come closer to the city then.
