Poor attention to values and character has made a mess of our world. The result is what we see today: careless, carefree, disoriented societies, characterized by teenage dropouts, juvenile delinquencies, economic uncertainties, misconception of religion and religious conflicts, unequal distribution of resources, political and organizational corruption, greed, civil unrest, cybercrimes, poverty, sexual abuses and sexual disorientations, violence, terrorism and sadly, the disintegration of families and a high level of moral collapse in our societies.
The only way for us to restore society to its proper state is by “going back to values”
By grooming the emerging generation of leaders and businesses with the over-looked values that once gave societies stable economies.
Thus, every year, DAYPEF sets aside a week to celebrate values. This is because we believe that core foundational values are fundamental to building stable and healthy societies, institutions and individuals. We advocate that a day should be set aside worldwide to deliberately sensitize people about the importance of core values, especially in value depleted neighborhoods like ours.
