Fact! The technical workforce is the life-wire of economic sustenance via industrial revolution in any country regardless of the geographical location.
I was opportuned to be at the Greenfield Village, Dearbon Michigan. This facility is Henry Ford's community of early fathers of American industrial revolution. The humble beginnings of the likes of the Wright brothers of bicycle - airplane fame, Thomas Edison of Menlo Park lab fame, HJ Heinz of Heinz Farmhouse fame and a host of others were transplanted from their different locations to the village. One indelible lesson learnt after a day at the village is this: Peasants and craftsmen in their own rights who were determined in their trades and crafts provided a common pedestal for the explosion that was the industrial growth of America.
If they did so in their own times, what have we offered to the nation and posterity?

DISCARDING ENGINE THERMOSTAT?
Yanking off a stuck thermostat from your vehicle engine? Stop it!
Removal of stuck thermostat may offer a temporal relief but can have a disastrous consequence on the long run. The engine does no attain optimum operational temperature when thermostats are removed. The piston, piston rings and all other components in and around the combustion areas that are made to fine tolerances with the optimum operational temperature in mind undergo accelerated wears. The engine operational efficiencies plummets and so is the power output. The engine will definitely be soon ready for the scrapyard.

CATCH THEM YOUNG...
We introduced an innovation this past long vacation. Volunteer high school graders were taken on short internship in our service facility. They employed their ICT-savvy dispositions into learning in the area of vehicle diagnosis and inventory mgt. It was a fun time for them as they went home with good grasp of the workings of ultramodern vehicles.
