ECHOES FROM OUR ANCESTORS

Dressing: Simplicity and gait

i. This is an ancestor arriving at a village meeting.

ii. He is simple in dressing, the characteric 'Iwa ákwà'. He is carrying his own chair with no entourage. He may be thinking about what to say in the gathering.

iii. The dressing was common to all men and suitable for all occasions - village meeting, warfare, visiting his in-law, going to the farm, traditional funeral ceremony or marriage feast.

iv. The dressing was a leveler and does not allow you to distinguish between the rich and the poor. When they dress like this, you receive enough air for your body and no need for a hand fan or standing fan.

v. The three-legged chair must be found in the home of every established adult. On special occasions, the chair could be carried behind him by one of his sons.

Today marks *another historic milestone for Ndi Ngwo as the construction of a new Ultramodern Surveillance Divisional Police Station with Barracks officially commences in our community.*

This monumental Federal Government project, which will greatly enhance the security of lives and properties in Ngwo and its environs, was attracted through the relentless efforts and effective representation of our own *distinguished son, Distinguished Senator Engr. Dr. Osita Ngwu (RG, Ike Eji Ejemba).*

The project will not only provide a modern police facility but will also include well-equipped accommodation barracks in Phase 2, ensuring improved operational efficiency and sustainable security for our people.

Security remains the foundation of development. With this project, Ndi Ngwo can look forward to a safer environment, increased confidence for investors, and greater peace within our communities.

This is yet another clear testimony that leadership is about results, not promises. Senator Osita Ngwu has continued to demonstrate capacity, commitment, and an unwavering passion for the development of Enugu West and Ndi Ngwo in particular.

As a grateful people, we must recognize and support leaders who remember their people and deliver tangible dividends of democracy. Therefore, our support for Distinguished Senator Osita Ngwu (RG, Ike Eji Ejemba) in 2027 remains non-negotiable.
